Since this is my tenth year after I quit a real job with real money coming in regularly, I decided to thank you as our customers, old and new, with a chance to celebrate with us. Some prices have increased while others remain the same. All plants, are 10 % off the final purchase only at the Open Houses this year. We hope to see our old friends and welcome the new ones too.

DFN 1st Open House 10% off ALL Sales
This is the time of the year when the gardens finally wake up and woodland plants are aplenty. A good time to see the Trilliums, Phloxes, and Geraniums blooming in pots. All plants will be for sale.
Our first Garden Talk will feature Tina Alban. Tina is the DCNR Forest Nursery Manager and will walk around Doyle Farm to identify invasive plants. Her talk will be on 'Cause and Effect- Natives vs. Exotics. Tina is a dynamite speaker and worth coming to hear.
Native Plant Garden Tour at Doyle Farm Nursery
"BRING BACK THE NATIVES" is a garden tour featuring many of York County's new and budding Native Plant Gardens. Tour is presented by MAEscapes & York County Master Gardeners.
9 AM - 5 PM. Tickets are $8.00 in advance and $10 the day of the Tour. Tickets may be brought at all tour sites. A map is included.
Summer Open House 10% off ALL Sales - Saturday only
Summertime is for summer sun. Monardas, Phloxes, Blackeyed Susans fancy Coneflowers, Lobelias are blooming in the pots around this time. A good time to pick up Native Sunflowers, Grasses, and Ferns.
Liz McDowell of Elk Ridge Nature Works Nursery will be at our Garden Talk this summer to explain about the relationship between native plants and wildlife. "Native Plants: A Welcome Sign for Wildlife." Why are natives so special to our environment? Liz has worked as a Naturalist, Resource Biologist for MDNR and a science teacher. She and her husband, Ron are co-owners of their native plant nursery.

Dick and Judy Bono of the Piedmont Society of York will be at our last Garden Talk speakers. 'Fighting the Invasives. Are we winning?'
Both are avid, native plant enthusiasts and have gardened on their property for years, fighting non-natives all the way with No chemicals.
This may be the talk we all want to hear.
